Microsoft Windows collects a lot of data—that's no longer a secret. For this reason, the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) regularly issues updated recommendations on which settings should be used to protect yourself from this unnecessary data collection. 

But the recommendations alone are not enough, because they also have to be implemented in practice. And this is often where the problem lies, because companies or authorities lack the necessary resources in their IT departments.
