Enable the Application Access module for users

This article describes how to manage the Application Access module for individual users or user groups.

How to activate the Application Access module

– In the Appterix Management UI, navigate to User administration.

– Select one of the following areas:

User

Our Groups

– Select the user or group.

– In the dialog box that appears, select the tab Application .

Important notesWhen configuring user-level settings, the option is available for some settings. To inherit available. To configure a setting manually, first deactivate it. To inheritOtherwise, the setting is automatically inherited from the default group or user group. If a user belongs to multiple groups, the most comprehensive permission applies.

– Choose under Application Access Module Choose one of the following options:

AnUse this option to activate the module.

OffUse this option to disable the module.

– Expand under permission level (Available when the module is active) the dropdown arrow, and then select one of the following options:

Advanced User: May create and manage a local allowlist for applications.

UserNo administrator rights.

– Choose under Analysis mode Choose one of the following options:

AnUse this option to run all applications without blocking.

OffUse this option to disable the mode and enforce the allowlist rules for the applications.

– Click Save.
