User Assignment of YubiKeys

Appterix offers the possibility to assign users to a YubiKey automatically or manually.

Automatic assignment of YubiKeys

You can enable automatic assignment of YubiKeys in the tab YubiKey Management of the area Settings activate. Here you have 3 options.

• Only automatically assign new or unassigned YubiKeys
• Automatically assign YubiKeys and add the user to the list of existing owners
  • With this option, the YubiKey is used as Divided .
• Automatically assign YubiKeys, replace existing owners, and add the user as a new owner.

For the automatic assignment of YubiKeys, the Appterix Agent must be installed on the respective end devices. When assigning, the Appterix Agent uses the user who last logged on to Windows. Please note that, for example, logon scripts can create an additional user session after logging on to Windows.

Manual assignment of YubiKeys

If the Automatic assignment of YubiKeys under Settings is deactivated, you can assign the YubiKeys to a user manually. For example, you can do this in the Furniture under YubiKey Management Select the respective YubiKey and under owner assign users.
