Edit user
You can adjust the information and configurations of your users at any time. This is possible for both manually created and imported users.
Two-step authentication method
In the rider Verification you can determine whether and which Two-step authentication method to be used by the user.
Enable the Two-factor authentication method option (Two-step authentication method activate) to enforce two-factor authentication during login to Appterix web console and administration. The first step of authentication is web login via email and password. The second step is one of the assigned authentication methods (eg FIDO2, Agent, etc.).
If the two-step authentication method is disabled, authentication is only possible using the user's email and password.
Adding user roles
Enter under Roles which user roles should be assigned to the user. Click +Add Role.
Select the user role(s) from the list. For details about the roles you can create within your role, see Settings > Permissions.
If an added role of type "inheritable" , you decide whether you want to enable or disable inheritance. The "inheritable" option means that tenants within the organization are automatically assigned this user with the same role. This is of interest to managed service providers, holding companies, and corporate structures.
Activating Users
In the tab Safety the drop-down list Status. The following status options are possible:
- Activeto activate a license for a user. Unrestricted use of Appterix within the role permissions is allowed.
- Deactivatedto not activate a license for a user or to deactivate the license if it has already been activated.
- Lockedto activate a license for a user. No use of Appterix is allowed.
The new user is added to the table with the status invited added. Once the user logs in to Appterix, the status changes to Active or Deactivated.
Set / send passwords
Enter under Safety in The Field Kennwort a password to send it manually to the user.

Activate the option Send credentialsto automatically send an invitation letter containing a link to define a password. The text of the email invitation can be changed under Settings > Email Templates be adjusted.
The link to define a password is only valid for 7 days. To resend an invitation letter, select a user and click in the dialog Edit user > Safety again Send Invite.
Personal information about the user (optional)
Under Personal Information, define additional user information.
Click on "Save".
