Setting up Appterix Authentication Insights

The Authentication InsightsThis area provides you with a central overview of authentication activities across your entire organization. In particular, the journal section offers detailed insights into authentication activities performed with security keys such as YubiKey, NitroKey, and Swissbit iShield.

Setup: Activate monitoring

The option to capture authentication events is disabled by default.You must activate these before data can be collected and displayed in your dashboard or journal..

Step-by-step activation:

1. In the Appterix Management UI, navigate to Settings > Authentication Insights.
2. Activate the option Monitoring of authentication events.
3. Click Save.

After successful activation, the system will henceforth record authentication events and make them visible in the dashboard and the journal..

Recommendation for early setup: Activate monitoring as early as possible. Events that occurred before monitoring was activated cannot be recorded retroactively..

The data in Authentication Insights is collected for each user who is in the module. Security Key Management enabled wurde.

Disable monitoring

If you no longer wish to record new authentication events for privacy or administrative reasons, you can disable the feature at any time..
