Detected applications allow

In the areas Journal and Inventory Currently running applications can be displayed and added directly to allowlists. This allows detected applications to be quickly incorporated into existing or new access rules.

This is how you allow detected applications

– In the Appterix Management UI, navigate to Application Access.

– Select one of the following areas:

Journal: Recorded events

InventoryAll applications ever launched

– Based on the selected area:

– – Check in Journal-area the list of events, and then select the desired event.

– – Check in Inventory-area the list of files, and then select the desired file.

– In the dialog box that appears, click on Add to approval list, and select one of the options:

– – If you want to create a rule based on an existing approval list, select Add to existing list of approved products .

– – If you want to create a new approval list and use it to create a rule, select Add to new approval list .

– In the next step, you determine how the application should be allowed:

Add manufacturer certificate

Add File

add product

– When selecting a product, you also choose between:

Add as new productCreates a new product based on the selected application.

Add definition to existing product: Extends an existing product with additional attributes.
