Always up to date with automatic notifications
With automatic notifications, you can specifically specify who is informed and about which events.
Appterix offers the possibility to send notifications about the following events via email:
- Application blocked: A notification is sent when an application is not found in the global allowlist or has been blocked due to the multi-factor authentication (MFA) policy.
- New YubiKey used: A notification is sent when a new YubiKey device is detected.
- Locked YubiKey used: A notification is sent when an attempt is made to use a locked YubiKey.
- Lost/Found YubiKey used: A notification is sent when a YubiKey marked as lost or found is used.
- Disabled YubiKey used: A notification is sent when an attempt is made to use a YubiKey that has been deactivated.
- Lost/Found device used: A notification is sent when a removable drive marked as lost or found is used.
- New device used: A notification is sent when a new removable storage device is used.
How to add a notification policy
- In the Appterix Management UI, navigate to Settings > notification policies. click on Add notification policy.
- The notification policy definition window appears.
- (Optional) In the field Name Enter a name for your notification policy.
- (Optional) In the field Description add a short description.
- Enter under Recipients the users and/or user groups who should be automatically notified of the event.
- Specify the events that should trigger notifications.
- Once the policy is configured, click Save.

The notification policy has been successfully added and is now displayed under notification policies displayed.
The SMTP or SendGrid server is used to send notifications.
Configure email server to send notifications
Make sure your email server is configured correctly so the system can send notifications according to your notification policies. Navigate to Administration > Settings > System tools > Email notificationsto configure the email server.
