Setting up Windows 10 / 11 privacy policies

The data protection module enables companies to centrally configure data protection policies for managed Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoints with Appterix agents installed. It helps organizations to control automatic data collection and data transfer to Microsoft services.

The privacy module settings can be centrally configured by an administrator and automatically applied with the Appterix Agent. Additionally, users with the appropriate permission level can be granted access. Advanced User Independently adapt the guidelines locally.

How to manage the data protection module

The user and group management allows you to selectively activate or deactivate data protection policies.

– In the Appterix Management UI, navigate to User administration.

- Choose User or Our Groups .

– Select the user or group.

– Open the tab Privacy Policy.

– Activate the Data protection module.

– Select the desired permission level:

Advanced User: Can independently manage privacy policies locally.
User: Receive the defined guidelines without extended modification rights.

– Activate or deactivate under Guidelines The privacy policy for the user/group based on the requirements of your organization.

– Click Save.

The Appterix agent successfully receives and applies the updated policies.
