Full control over YubiKeys with tags and status
Challenge
Managing a large number of YubiKeys can be complex. Administrators need to know not only which YubiKeys are in use, but also their status, condition, and activity history.
Our solution
We simplify the management of YubiKeys and offer complete overview and control over each device through YubiKey status, YubiKey tags, and YubiKey event tags.
YubiKey status
The status is used to describe the current state of a YubiKey. A device can only have one status at a time. The following table lists each YubiKey status, including its name and description.
| Status | Description |
| New | A YubiKey that has been detected but is not yet being managed. |
| Assigned | A YubiKey that has already been assigned to a specific user. |
| Unallocated | A YubiKey that has not been assigned to any user. |
| Divided | A YubiKey that is assigned to multiple users. |
YubiKey tags
Tags are additional labels that complement the status of a YubiKey. One or more tags can be assigned to a YubiKey. The table below lists all YubiKey tags, including their name and description.
| Tags | Description |
| Bocked | A YubiKey that is locked and may no longer be used. |
| Lost | A YubiKey that was marked as lost. |
| Found | A YubiKey that was found again after being marked as lost. |
| Deactivated | A YubiKey that has been deactivated. Deactivation occurs when the device no longer requires management. Therefore, these devices will no longer be included in Dashboard, Inventory and Reports A deactivated YubiKey can still be used until it is locked. |
YubiKey event tags
Event tags are used to indicate whether and how a YubiKey is in use. A YubiKey can have one or more event tags assigned to it. The following table lists each event tag, including its name and description.

| New YubiKey used | A YubiKey that has not yet been assigned to a user. |
| User automatically assigned | A new or unassigned YubiKey was automatically assigned to a user. |
| Unassigned YubiKey used | A YubiKey that is in use but not assigned to a specific user. |
| Unassigned user detected | A user who has not yet been assigned a YubiKey. |
| Unauthenticated user detected | A user exists in the system, but has not been identified. |
| Lost YubiKey used | The YubiKey marked accordingly has been used. Lost blocked |
| Found YubiKey used | The YubiKey marked accordingly has been used. Found blocked |
| Blocked YubiKey used | The YubiKey marked accordingly has been used. Bocked blocked |
| Disabled YubiKey used | A YubiKey that had been deactivated was used. |
| Unknown user detected | A user who cannot be identified because Appterix Agent does not recognize the current user in the operating system. |
| No tag assigned | No event tags have been assigned. |
