What is the analysis mode?

The analysis mode in Appterix's Zero Trust Application Access (ZTAA) solution is a mode in which the software learns about new applications that are allowed to run on a computer.

Administrators who are currently working with application control Those starting out can use the analysis mode to get a clear overview of how they should structure their policies.

Since administrators often don't know at the beginning which applications users in their organization need, it makes the most sense to allow a high degree of flexibility initially.
In this mode, both authorized and unmanaged applications can be run, which is why the analysis mode is not completely secure in the long run.

Event logging is enabled so that administrators can see which applications are being used and which should be added to the allow list.

To activate analysis mode for a user or user group and begin collecting application data, navigate to User administration > User/ Our Groups.

After activating analysis mode, the following message is displayed in the Appterix Agent UI:
